Have I been scammed by a Thyroid S supplier?

I know that I can’t mention a particular supplier on here but I have paid money to a Thyroid S supplier, who no longer answers my emails, and who gave me a tracking number (which when tracked shows me nothing concrete) and when I contacted the courier directly tell me that the goods were sent back to the sender but I can’t get anymore information from them

I feel like I’ve been scammed and I am upset about this. It seems that my WISE payment went to Montenegro despite the NDT supposedly meant to be coming from Greece

I am having complete brain fog about this as I can’t remember where I got the contact from, or where I ordered the NDT from or how I would even have the information about where to order from?!?!

All I know was it was supposed to be on offer in January at £170 for 500 tablets. I am usually so careful about this but let my guard down due to having so much going on in my head and I think now (as I get no responses about my emails), that I’ve been scammed

If nothing else, I’m putting this out as a warning but also wonder if this has happened to anyone else? Any advice gratefully received

jaxie28, It does sound extremely suspicious. Can you message SeasideSusie with the supplier details and she will tell you if anyone else has also reported a bad expereince with this supplier.

There is an issue on another thyroid forum which reads very similar to your situation.

Does the website in question appear to offer several different thyroid hormone product options sourced from around the World ?

From Jaxie's previous post on the forum she was asking about a different supplier from the one you mean (I know who that is, I also read the other forum and there have been questions raised about them here too ). Jaxie sent me a PM yesterday and I'm waiting for a response to my replies to her to see exactly which supplier she used. It does sound like the one you mean but if not there is possibly another one who is a cause for concern.

The supplier was the one you suspected, I fear quite a few members may have used them without checking with myself or another Admin to see if we have any feedback.

I have been waiting on order from [edited by Admin] (first time ordering from them) since December, tracking has not progressed since 21/1🤔

Won't be using again hopefully.

That’s where my bank transfer was to as well so I’m not feeling confident they’re legit. Scammers everywhere! It’s so upsetting x

Hello jaxie28. I am sorry to hear this. Wondering whether I may have the same issue. I ordered T3 at Christmas but seems to have got lost in the post. They are from Montenegro. They have said they will send a replacement, but I’m feeling skeptical.

Yes it was from there and they are not responding to me at all about them so I am thinking they are not to be trusted

I have just realised I have been scammed by someone selling Thyroid S from Montenegro. I shall message Seasidesusie with details. I didn't see the warning about this until now. It is so easy to fall for these scammers, she/he seemed so nice and sent me a PM. Just go direct to the manufacturer, I have learnt yet another lesson!

I am sorry that happened to you. That same seller almost scammed me, too. I ordered from this seller back in 2020 (although they called themselves something else back then). Someone here recently recommended the new site to me. I did not suspect anything until I was asked to send money to the exact same bank account in Montenegro that they used in 2020. It´s not every day that I transfer money to Montenegro...That´s when I realised something was wrong. Back in 2020, I lost 200€ and never received my order. The seller never replied to my messages either. Thank God I had the presence of mind this time around to contact one of the admins before placing an order. It seems these people regularly disappear and then resurface under a new name, but they seem to always use the same bank account in Montenegro.

What scares me the most is that people here recommend sites like that. They either received one order and believe everything is fine, or they work for the seller. Impossible to tell, of course.

The admin team are doing their best to warn members about this seller. We regularly re-post this, so please do read it if you haven't already seen it:

Unfortunately, we have no control whatsoever about who creates an account, joins our forum in order to message people with scam links.

Of course not, my post was in no way intended as criticism. People like that are on every thyroid forum, but not every forum does anything about the problem.

Some people can be very convincing, claiming to be fellow patients who finally found a solution to their problem and wanting to help others who are struggling. It´s very easy to fall for.

It´s great advice to always check a member´s posting history and profile before trusting anyone.
