London endocrinologists (private or not) who prescribe T3

I've been taking NDT for a few years but recently my symptoms are returning, and other forums seem to suggest that NDT like Armour and Thyroid S are losing their effectiveness. So I'm thinking of going privately to see if I can get T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine.

Is there a list of endocrinologists in London who will consider T3?

Welcome to the forum KMc_71,

So we can offer better advice, can you tell us more about your thyroid condition, eg when you were diagnosed, ongoing symptoms, current medication & dosage, plus blood test results (with ranges in brackets) for:

TSH

FT3

FT4

Plus any antibody and key vitamin tests (ferritin, folate, vitamins D and B12)

If your GP is unable to complete all the above (eg if TSH is within range, some surgeries may not be able to access FT4 and FT3 tests), you could look to do this privately, as many forum members do, for a better picture of your thyroid health:

You can name a doctor when asking for feedback on the forum, but replies to KMC_71 about a London based endocrinologist recommendation need to be via private message.

Thanks Buddy195 - understood on the private message thing. I'm going for blood tests again in a few days, so will post those as soon as I have the results, along with the other things you've asked me to provide.
