Finally received an email from Endo's secretary with letter and prescription to follow offering me "2 x 5mcg lactose free, lucky dip from the available Roma pharmaceuticals Ltd, Colonis Pharma Ltd, Sigmapharm laboratories International."

helvella Help please, oh great knowledgeable one🙏

colonis.co.uk/our-company/a...

sigmapharm.com/products/lio...

These are the one's listed on TUK which doesn't mention Roma which we have discussed here?

Have a look here to find my thyroid hormones document (and many other of my documents):

Your endo is not up to date. The Colonis product was sold to Roma and the documentation changed branding. Colonis no longer exists (and was, to the best of my knowledge, never supplied at all).

My document include Sigmapharm, Teva and Morningside.

Roseway is a "specials" lab which can obtain some T3 products. But they will either be the products I have already included, or special imports, or made to order specials.

Accord is an oddity - they acquired a licence a few months ago but I don't recall anyone saying they have received the product.

And it very much ISN'T Lucky Dip. If you want Roma, the prescription must not be for tablets! And vice versa.

5 microgram tablets have an NHS Drug Tariff cost of £99.47.

5 microgram capsules have an actual and NHS Drug Tariff price of £55.

Is that an NHS or private prescription?

"Not up to date" So it would seem 🙄

You are a star I was looking for it..... honest 😬but I got distracted looking up Colonis?

Not sure what I want as first time trying the LF Lio, but Roma seems the safer route?

I think Roma is the best bet.

One member reported problems as they are sensitive to pork products - and the capsule is pork gelatin. But the Roma Patient Information Leaflet even tells you it is OK to open the capsule and mix it with a little water - so that is an option.

Excellent, thank you. I have thrown myself at the mercy of the secretary and explained the issues vague prescribing presents, thankfully this Endo has a lovely secretary who uses BUPA! Says it all really 😕

So is it likely you will need a new script stating capsules? Hopefully they will be quick about it.. 🤞

Sorry, NHS Endo, so ought to be pleased I'm asking for capsules🤗

Until they realize that having the small capsules doubles the cost 🙄

It's not double the cost of 10 microgram tablets, though! (They are £152.44)

You'd have to go up to 20 microgram tablets and split them to be cheaper. :-)

I would not want the faff of capsules. I would rather be in charge of my own dosage with tablets I can cut.

Hey, how are you getting on? 🤗

5mcg increments is ok for me, better than excipients, I’ve been quartering Tiromel 25mcg

Just biding my time (not wonderfully - rubbish really) waiting for my recent blood tests for my previously cancelled endo appointment, coming soon. Just hope blood tests give something as concrete as possible to work with. I will be taking it VERY slowly this time. I thought I did last time! My pill cutter is at the ready. Anyway I will put results up when I get them for advice before I even see endo. So much trouble getting blood for finger prick but I see others are having the same bother.

Not what you're looking for?
