High globulin and immunoglobulin A

musicandmemories profile image

Hello all!

Newly diagnosed Hashimoto’s, 24 yr old female here. My endocrinologist and I have been running a host of I guess what are initial blood work ups to understand my body - most recently got back results where my globulin was high (3.9 g/dl).

On a separate celiac panel, I have no celiac related antibodies but high IgA. Are either of these thyroid autoimmune related? Or could there be something else at play? RA, Chron’s and Graves all run in the family as well.

I am also asthmatic.

Thanks!

Thanks! No to thyroid meds, latest results - TSH: 0.5, T3 = 2.3, T4 = 1.1

TPO antibodies: 453

I take B12 (occasionally) and an omega 3 multivitamin. Debating adding a probiotic.

Haven’t asked about whether should take any other vitamin supplements yet, though I know my vitamin D is in normal range!
