kidney concerns

hi everyone, I am after some advice for kidney concerns? For a couple years, I have been having pain in my back each side where my kidney is that will keep me awake all night and then eases in the day and less annoying. I thought it was due to my endometriosis turns out it’s not it is my kidneys. I was in the chemsit and saw a UTI test kit and the only reason I picked one up to try so because something in brain made me realise that pain is either side where my kidneys are. I did a test and it showed positive for Leucoytes. So the doctor has given me antibiotics but I told I have had this pain with episodes for nearly 2yrs so she is doing a kidney function blood test. But I had a blood test done on Saturday and it showed my creatinine was in the high end. I wondered if any of my blood results mean anything at all. Thank you so much

I only know one test GFR this shows the rate that your kidneys filter and will show rates. I can't read your other results, sorry too small for me.

ah thank you for your reply my eGFR is 75 . I know the font is so small 😊

75 is OK anything under 60 is worrying. My right hand kidney hurts when I am tired. The GP missed my UTI four times and it formed a biofilm in my kidney that took nearly 8 months to get rid of. Yours is unusual as you have no pain in the daytime.

You should get a iron test done

As the pain gets better during the day, it may be muscles. Check out sacroilliac pain, which I currently have after falling on the ice. To me it feels exactly how my kidney felt when it went mad and grew extra bits. They took it out, and now my creatinine is always around 120, but the Consultant said not to worry until it was over 500 (shades of TSH and the magic figure 10).

There are some very good exercise videos on line to help strengthen these muscles, worth a try, and if you start gently, cannot do any harm. I hope you feel better soon.
