I desperately need Mercury pharmaceuticals Levothyroxine 100mgs. The chemists in Leeds are no longer able to provide them but the other brands leave me feeling really terrible, ready to die. Can anyone help please?
Mercury pharmaceuticals levothyroxine - Thyroid UK
Mercury pharmaceuticals levothyroxine
If you do a search on this site you will find a few posts about this. Mercury pharma is also called advanz and this seems to be what the pharmacy needs to look for
Not sure what we can do other than suggest you keep contacting pharmacies and asking if they can supply.
As Lalatoot wrote, Mercury Pharma is owned by Advanz Pharma and might appear under that name on the pharmacies' computer systems.
I've added my UK Levothyroxine Matrix which shows you what products are licensed in the UK. Of course, you might have tried all of them., but if not, you might consider (for one example) Aristo?
If nothing else, it might help jog your memory of what makes you have NOT tolerated!
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world. It is sectioned by UK - rest of the world, and by T4, T3, desiccated thyroid, etc.
And do keep up to date. I edit it frequently - sometimes trivially, sometimes extensively. If your copy is more than a few weeks old, please download it again. (You must download - not just view in a browser - for the Table of Contents to work.)

Is it possible for the pharmacies to provide you with MercuryPharma 25mcgs? Due to difficulties in getting 100mcg MP, but 25mcg being easier to get for some reason, after chatting to my GP, who knows I can only tolerate MercuryPharma, my prescription now states 5 x 25mcg MercuryPharma only.
Wishing you some good news re MP.
I’m in York & can’t get Mercury either. It’s been Wochart for last 3 months. Pharmacist says it’s out of stock 🤷🏻♀️
I'm calling all the leeds chemists to see if they can help but no luck so far.
Hi, I was struggling to get Mercury 50mg about a month ago. My pharmacist phoned alliance and was able to get them.I had emailed Advanz and was told this was possibly who to try for supplies.
Hope this helps
It's called Alliance Healthcare for your pharmacy
I wasn't able to get Mercury Pharma in Berkshire in the autumn. I decided to make the change to Accord, which took a few weeks to settle into. Now I don't seem to get the leg pain I used to get half as much. I am not saying it's worth trying a brand change, I am just saying that I took a risk on it and it worked for me. Everyone is different.
Both Mercury Pharma and Eltroxin are identical and made by Advanz, just different packaging and brand names. I get Eltroxin from Boots so it might be worth giving it a try.
