It might be the acacia powder - some are sensitive to that. Are you ok with lactose?
Lynnwin, I think all UK medicines are gluten-free.
Hi,, I've had to come of this brand because of the stomach issues I was getting. I deff think I had issues with the acacia.
Hi thank you all for your replies ..im ok with lactose ,i have emailed them to ask if gluten free ? no response so will call them today ...thank you ianessex i thought that acacia was good for us ?? the bloating is awful was ok on 25mcg of MP but tummy gone haywire on 50 mcg ... thank you jazzw will look at the link oh clutter must be GF then .Maybe its the fillers like the Acacia ??? thanks reallyfedup123 going to call today .
Really appreciate you all taking the time to reply ..May have a trip to my Gp to change brands ? Fingers crossed i will get one without this acacia in ? xxxxxxxx
Hi everyone ,went to see my Gp was told mercury was GF but she changed them to activis as it maybe the Acacia as can cause bloating and bottom sickness so fingers crossed tomorrow when i start the activis ... thank you for your help xxxxxxxxxx
hi all, activis my body can just about cope with, i'm not happy with it but Mercury Pharma gives me terrible indigestion amongst other things and a terrible rash on my arms...today i've found another one wockhardt only because i asked the doc to split 100's into 25-50.....if your not happy get different makes of the chemist and decide which symptoms you can cope with better than others,
I also had issues with Mercury Pharma Levothyroxine. Changed to Actavis (50mcg) and Wockhardt (25mcg) and felt a whole lot better. GP's often dismiss these observations as being in your mind, but interestingly, one particular pharmacist admitted they've had other people also noting issues with Mercury Levo, and requesting different brands. I have found it's often necessary to check different pharmacies to see what brands they have available. Often they are driven by price, and if Mercury comes in cheaper then they'll issue that. Note: - ALWAYS ASK BEFORE HANDING IN YOUR PRESCRIPTION - once dispensed it's very difficult to get them to change what's been issued, and they often don't have alternative brands in each strength!. Keep trying 'till you find a brand to suit. Good Luck.
Thanks Rick68 .. I started avantis today and already my tummy feels a little better think it must be the acacia in the fillers that made me have tummy troubles ? I will never except that mercury Pharma again thank you so much for replying the dispensary at my doctors thought I was being awkward but the gp has wrote on my notes now NOT mercury ! Which is good take care xx
