I have a range of symptoms which have been ongoing for a number of years, but have become more acute since stopping the pill. These include hair loss, very cold hands and feet, tiredness, some weight gain despite normal activity, swollen tongue and now very light and frequent periods as well as dry skin, but also occasionally tremors.
my recent results are as follows:
T4 83 (59-154)
TSH 2.98 (0.27-4.2)
Free T4 13.6 (12 - 22)
Free T3 4.9 (3.1 -6.8)
Thyroglobulin 25.6 (0-115)
Thyroid peroxides antibodies <9 (0-34)
Vit D 51 (50-200 normal range)
b12 428 (197-771)
Folate 7.7 (>2.9)
ferritin 49 (13-150)
I have been taking vit d supplements recently and started a couple of days prior to the test.
I’ve read many posts but hard to unpick as someone unfamiliar whether or not there is something here for me to push further on (apart from vit d which does seem on the low side?).
any advice would be much appreciated.

With serum B12 result below 500, (Or active B12 below 70) recommended to be taking a B12 supplement as well as a B Complex (to balance all the B vitamins) initially for first 2-4 months.
once your serum B12 is over 500 (or Active B12 level has reached 70), stop the B12 and just carry on with the B Complex.
Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule)
Thorne currently difficult to buy
If you want to try a different brand in the meantime, one with virtually identical doses of the ingredients, and bioavailable too, then take a look at Vitablossom Liposomal B Complex. Amazon sometimes has it branded Vitablossom but it's also available there branded as Yipmai, it's the same supplement
IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate methyl folate supplement and continue separate B12
This is interesting because I have noticed that many patients with Hashimoto’s disease and hypothyroidism, start to feel worse when their ferritin drops below 80 and usually there is hair loss when it drops below 50.
Thyroid disease is as much about optimising vitamins as thyroid hormones
Never supplement iron without doing full iron panel test for anaemia first and retest 3-4 times a year if self supplementing. It’s possible to have low ferritin but high iron
