I’m UAT (secondary) and Consultant (private) want to reduce my dose from 1 grain (am) and 1 grain (pm) Armout Thyroid following recent results.
Blood profile was MMH and done at 7:30 am with no meds and just water to on drink. Last dose was at 14:30 day before. The May results (same time etc) was on 1 grain (am) and 3/4 grain (pm).
I’m reluctant to reduce as was very tired on the 3/4 grain pm.

With NDT you dose to the relief of symptoms and was used successfully for over 100 years and long before we had the science of blood tests, let alone ranges , boxes, and score cards.
The ranges, blood tests and guidelines were introduced to be used alongside medicating with Big Pharma's T3 and T4 thyroid hormone replacement, and launched on the back of Natural Desiccated Thyroid.
As you have Hashimoto's you are liable to ' swings in symptoms ' and erratic own thyroid hormone production so you do need to learn to read your body and look to maybe adjusting your own Armour dose and look to calming down your immune system response.
No thyroid hormone replacement works well until your ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained at optimal levels and inflammation, antibodies, and any physiological stress ( emotional or physical ) and depression dieting and ageing all can play a part in T3/T4 conversion.
The conversion ratios are only applicable when on T4 monotherapy.
If you felt well on 2 grains I should think that's where you need to go back to as Hashimoto's systematically disables the thyroid gland so, over time, I would imagine you will need more not less thyroid hormone medication.
