Thyroid-S question

GerbilsinSpace_77 profile image

Recently (about 3 mos) began some thyroid-S from Thailand, seems like the legitimate article, but I haven't felt much overall result yet. Has anyone used thyroid-S over the long term and received positive results from it?

It works for me, BUT, I don't just rely on thyroid medication to make me feel better. You need to make sure that your diet is right, vitamins levels etc are good, and so much more.

Yes after my thyroid was removed back in 2015 I went onto Thyroid s and for seven years felt very well on it. I ordered this year 3 lots of 500 and after starting on these back in August and only for 44 days I became ill, i.e. falling over etc etc . I had a blood test and my FT3 reading had gone done to 2.75 from 6.06. I posted about these new pills two weeks ago.

The new batches are TA22 something which denotes made in 2022. I have had to stop taking them and am now on Levo plus T3 and feeling awful. Which batch number are you on?

Yes, TA22! There's something else right next to it that I can't make out as it's been smudged by me repeatedly touching it. But I can definitely see clearly it says TA22.

I mean these help me a little but I ordered a 500 count a few months ago and I haven't noticed any significant difference yet and I have taken them regularly. Sometimes up to 10 in one day. I normally don't take that high a dose and when I do I did get a bit amped up, a bit jittery but nothing extreme and nothing that I was concerned about. I'm wondering if these are mostly duds.

If you say it worked well for you for a long time and then now suddenly it doesn't- sounds like something's been done to it.

Perhaps all Thailand NDT formulations or sources have been tampered with or made much weaker somehow. I sure hope not but this is my second Thai NDT product that hasn't seemed to have helped me much.

I also strive to eat a well-balanced healthy diet and get proper sleep and stay hydrated. I intend to start increasing my supplementation of certain nutrients soon.

Is very interesting to hear your feedback that would be very interested to hear from others around the world if they're experiencing the same thing.

I know that sometimes providers do change their formulations for whatever reason, no doubt cost, I heard about that happening with armour thyroid some years back. I don't know if it was ever returned to its original which everyone seemed to be happy with while everyone seemed pretty dissatisfied with the newer one.

I could find OTC thyroid supplements but I really prefer prescription level thyroid replacement. However for me I have no wish to use the pharmaceutical version I want to use a source that is natural and organic. The problem with me trying to use a domestic NDT is that I would have to show a prescription which is difficult for me to obtain right now. I either keep getting the basic TSH test which tells me my thyroid is perfect and squeaky clean, or I'd have to pay a sizable outlay which I just don't have atm to get a scrip for ndt from a private holistic clinic. So Thai NDT is perfect for me as I just need to be able to pay for the product and it's not gate-kept behind a prescription.

I'll continue to follow this but I am pretty disappointed with my first results from my first bottle of thyroid-s NDT from thailand. I tried another NDT in early 2020 and that didn't seem to help me much either, however I heard reports that that same one was ineffectual for others as well. So it may not have just been me. I wonder if it's the same in this case (for thyroid s).

If its formula has been weakened to the point of being ineffective, then that's going to be really rough on me as I have yet to find a single NDT that I can obtain that truly helps my metabolism.

Fyi I know exercise and physical activity are both very important for health and metabolism and I do my best in that regard but no matter how physically active one chooses to be that won't correct an underlying metabolism issue if it's biochemically caused. Exercise makes the best of what you have but it can't correct underlying hormonal issues, to my knowledge. I will be starting additional selenium and iodine supplementation soon and I'm sure that will help somewhat.

Have you written to the manufacturer, quoting the batch number? I did, and suggested that their excellent product relies on word of mouth, and many people on this website were unhappy with pills bought recently. The more people they hear from, the more likely they are to do something.

Good idea. I'll def get on that and let you know how they respond.

You may wish to try Piping Rock OTC supplements that have a beef thyroid product. I was investigating it last night. Looks like it might help. They have other similar products as well in that line.

OTC is better than nothing until you find another NDT that can help you. Looks like you and me are a similar boats for now.

Hi I was only on 2.25 grains a day for over seven years with no thyroid. I have no gut problems, only ever eat a healthy diet, never overweight. I am 76 years old but have always done Yoga, running up until my sixties, swimming etc. So was very fit, not now. Sorry to hear that your NDT is not working. what have they done to it. I noticed straight aways that it was different, no smell, shiny and hard and a greenish hue to. I am on Levo plus T3 trying to sort out a dose. You could try bovine NDT that may work for you. I am like you I prefer to use only natural products. By the way I forgot all of my vitamins and minerals are optimal.
