According to this new study, 20% get some form of long COVID and "MRI imaging found a significant difference in the region of the brain associated with coordinating with the endocrine system to release hormones. " The thyroid is an endocrine gland.
i.e. could having had COVID be related to hypothyroidism?
Sound interesting .. will have a read later ... nice to see some interest in investigating a much more clinical version of the usual "it's all in your head".
One of the few plus points of a Pandemic....There are so many thousands/millions ? of long covid cases following a known infection , and including many medics ,so it's much harder to just write them all off individually as 'probably phychological' ,as was done to CFE/ ME cases.
This is fascinating, I have been aware of the change in my other half since he had covid 2 months ago, he started to behave a lot like me before I started on T3, his memory and cognition have certainly declined 😕
This even more begs the question why are thyroid patients (a very large portion of the population) so easily ‘written off’ and in contemporary parlance disrespected?
