Hello. I was wondering if anyone was aware of an online pharmacy that would guarantee to dispense a preferred brand of Levothyroxine? My prescription states Not Teva, Accord if Possible because my Doctor didn't want to specify just Accord in case it was unavailable. I don't disagree with this as I definitely don't want to be without levothyroxine. However, as it's easier to stay on an even keel with the same brand, I was hoping someone might know of a pharmacy that usually dispenses Accord or will let you state a brand preference. Many thanks.
Does anyone know of an online Pharmacy that alw... - Thyroid UK
Does anyone know of an online Pharmacy that always/usually dispenses Accord Levothryroxine
does it have to be online? How many mcg?
My local Asda pharmacy can only dispense Accord if prescription states 100mcg. Pharmacist says it’s ordered centrally and he can’t request brand specific. (And I can’t tolerate Accord)

Boots dispense Accord/Almus as their go to brand.
Haha you can have mine! Accord i mean. Boots pharmacy gave me 3 boxes of 100mcg and I can only take Mercury pharmacy, which they can't get at mk. Never been a problem in the past. What is going on with supply of levo?? Does it come from Europe?
I think Lloyds have Accord/Northstar as their go to brand.
They do, I always get Northstar sent to me online from Lloyds.
I'll give them a try - many thanks for confirming. It's greatly appreciated.
Just for info... A couple of days ago I was told by the lloyds pharmacy in my local sainsburys that they are upgrading their computer system soon. They will only be able to order/supply whichever brand is cheapest unless your GP specifies the brand on the prescription.
Thank you
Thanks for the info about Boots and Lloyds. I'll try them out. Your help is much appreciated
Accord manufacture 50mcg and 100 mcg levo tablets for Boots under the Almus branding. Unfortunately Accord do not manufacture a 25mcg or 75mcg, so intermediate dosages have to be accommodated by splitting tablets or taking different dosages on alternate days.
Yes - the cocktail of different brands if you need a 25mcg increment is horrible and ever changing. Luckily, I'm able to avoid it as my doctor prescribes 200mcg although I only take 175mcg a day. It was the only way to avoid a weird brand combo of up to 3 different brands (but never the same 3) I've been splitting tablets and taking 150mcg/200mcg on alternate days for years now. Thanks for the reply.
