Mid eyebrow loss

Hi

I have noticed that the middle of my eyebrows are suddenly very patchy. I’m sure I’ve seen mention of mid eyebrow loss on here along with the cause but nothing is coming up in a search.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

it’s a common thyroid symptom Spangle15. I lost the outer third of my brows but have (thinly) regrown since I’ve got thyroid levels optimal. Can you share your levels?

I’m currently taking 100 mcg thyroxine and 30 mcg ERFA twice daily.

Latest bloods -

T4 - 21.4

T3 - 5.6

TSH - 0.01 (always surprised because of ERFA)

can you add ranges for your results as laboratories can vary. Have you tested key vitamins (ferritin, folate, B12 and vit D)?

Others have recommended eyebrow serum but I’ve never tried this, so unable to comment:

T4 range is 12-22

T3 3.2 - 6.8

Yes to the others, my ferritin is low at 37 (12-150). But everything else is good.

I’d definitely look to address ferritin. You may find it useful to read posts on this key vitamin by humanbean

Hi Spangle, I’ve heard that losing the outer third is common but this morning noticed I have a ‘bald patch’ on the inner thicker part of my eyebrow - i.e nearest my eye! This is a new one for me!

I’ve actually now had mine microbladed, doesn’t solve the issue but makes me happier
