Interested to know if anyone has been prescribed and taking Eutriox (Euthyrox) as I have read very bad reviews in in over 81% of patients taking it (most of the reviews appear to be American) plus read it has been withdrawn in France and am meant to start taking it. Worried.
Medication: Interested to know if anyone has been... - Thyroid UK
Medication
There are other makes approved in Spain:
Aristo, Kern Dexnon, Sanofi and Teva
The issue with Eutirox is that in much of the world (possibly now everywhere), they have replaced the lactose ingredient by mannitol. And, for reasons that are not entirely clear, some people find that causes side effects.
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world. It is sectioned by UK - rest of the world, and by T4, T3, desiccated thyroid, etc.
And do keep up to date. I edit it frequently- sometimes trivially, sometimes extensively. If your copy is more than a few weeks old, please download it again. (You must download - not just view in a browser- for the Table of Contents to work.)

Welcome to the forum Bluecarnation.
Euthyrox is just one brand of levothyroxine.
As helvella has pointed out, other brands of levothyroxine should be available to you, so speak with your prescriber about your concerns.
