Best price I've seen 😉

I bought 3 bottles. That should keep me going a while. 😀

thanks for this ! I have the subscription which is also reduced with your link, but noticed I need to up the order quantity as hubster has been helping himself too 👍

That was quick. I ordered yesterday and they arrived just now. If anyone wants to stock up, the expiry date is November '24 so a nice long date on them.

That's good to know, I did wonder about asking the question but thought by the time I got an answer they might all be gone!.... I might sneak back for more 👏

It's become an expensive habit of telling others they should take them and handing them out!

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

😂

I'm questioning myself if a 6 month supply is enough now. Also checking if their folate is on offer.

TiggerMe profile image
TiggerMeAmbassador in reply toJaydee1507

Things are only going to get more expensive.... 🙃

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

No offer on the folate but Jarrows 400mcgs isn't too bad a price anyway. You might have talked me into a very fast repeat order. lol

TiggerMe profile image
TiggerMeAmbassador in reply toJaydee1507

Me too! 🤣 This forum is quite expensive and terrible for getting housework done!😇

Tea breaks last at least 2 hours these days 🤗

But at least with all the great advice on here the odd spontaneous dance around the kitchen is back!

Just waiting for my latest blood tests to come back since starting B complex, will I be able to tell if the basic has enough folate for me or do I need to test MHFR...? Can't remember the letters😆

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

There's no real need to test for MTHFR if you're doing blood tests for folate. I happened to have already done Ancestry DNA for genealogy purposes so then dowloaded the raw data and ran it though a functional gene report thing online.

I wasn't even deficient for folate, but a low result and just the Thorne Basic B only made my numbers go up by 2 points, plus I didn't feel any different on it. It wasn't until I stopped the B complex and switched to a 1mg methylfolate for a blood test that I felt the difference physically. So now I top up the folate part a bit and trying to get my folate leve to 20.

TiggerMe profile image
TiggerMeAmbassador in reply toJaydee1507

Ah, that's good to know thanks, looking back at my last result May 2021 was 15.8 so maybe I actually have one good result!

This of course might all come crashing down when the new scores on the doors are in, as a lot of good folate foods are also high histamine which I have since cut back on 🙃

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

How's the low histamine stuff going? Have you managed to make any headway?

TiggerMe profile image
TiggerMeAmbassador in reply toJaydee1507

Pretty good thanks🤗 I try to just be mindful and stick mainly to low histamine foods which I had been unwittingly doing for quite a while, but now I'm in the know I've added back in very fresh meat and even the occasional avocado but sadly beans are a step too far! I try not to overdo it and if I do overfill my bucket quickly take a DAO enzyme tablet which seems to help.

I remember now that you and I seem to be on a similar path and enlightened me about histamine!... remarkable that I can actually remember these things now!

I do sneak in a little sauerkraut now and then as it is so beneficial and a little of everything is better for your gut microbiome than a totally restricted diet which is the way I was going to avoid flare ups

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

It may or may not improve. The best chance you have though is to get all of your ducks in a row with vitamins and optimised thyroid treatment too.

Histamine stuff is pretty individual really. What one person can tolerate another can't, so it's just a matter of fine tuning what your limits are. Low D3 and ferritin can make intolerances so much worse so making sure they are tip top will make a difference too.

I've been hopeful getting somewhere with these over the last 3 months... I'm actually quite excited to get my results.... sad I know 😆

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

I can identify with that. I'm getting bloods done in the morning, once I've double checked there's no postal strike. I'm mid way adding some T3 and dropping a bit of Levo + of course the vitamin levels. Progress is to be celebrated!

TiggerMe profile image
TiggerMeAmbassador in reply toJaydee1507

Yes I had to dance around the posties too... I'm thinking mine will come back with a similar need to drop the T4 a bit but who knows.... It's such a treat to feel well enough and have the brain capacity to even think about it!

Looking back, it was your advice about fresh meat that had me marching around to the butchers on killing day to request a hangar steak, which is a real treat! So, thank you for this, I thought beef was off the menu for good, but it makes a delicious little stir fry 🤗

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

That's fantastic about the beef. Really happy to have helped. You can freeze it too if you know it's fresh, then fast defrost and cook immediately and should be fine. Might save you a few trips out and a treat is always a good thing.

My brain capacity is still pretty challenged although definitely improved with 10mcgs T3. I've been housebound more or less for 9 years though so it's baby steps for me.

I'm now sitting with a lovely beef teriyaki stir fry 🤗

You are so right I bought a whole one and portioned it up ready for use straight from the freezer a top tip from you 😉

Sorry to hear you have had to struggle on so long, I must admit I was quite happy to hide indoors under the guise of covid avoidance 🙄 let's hope T3 will revive you 🤗

which functional gene report did you do? I tried one with my ancestry download but hit a paywall after a few useful bits of info DIO1 and DIO2 heterozygous and MTHFR carrier… would like to know more 🦋💚🦋

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toRegenallotment

It was one that was recomended on here. I paid just under £15 for it, but have since seen on American MTHFR FB groups there are a few free ones but I don't know how good they are. The one I used was this.

mthfr-genetics.co.uk/DNA/ab...

There's also LiveWello or GeneticGenie that are apparently free.

If you find out the SNP's for the gene you are looking for you can just search the raw data for it, which is what I did for DIO1 &2.

Regenallotment profile image
RegenallotmentAmbassador in reply toJaydee1507

yes same I used the SNPs it was just a bit slow going and I’m all about shortcuts 😊, thanks I’ll take a look 🦋💚🦋

Thank you Eeyore....grateful to know re the Thorne Basic B, and have ordered some more :-)

That's not the price I'm seeing. Considerably more at £40.34

RedApple profile image
RedAppleAdministrator in reply towellness1

Me too. I suspect all the hits coming from this forum have made the vendor jack the price up (astronomically)!

TiggerMe profile image
TiggerMeAmbassador in reply towellness1

That's a shame RedApple we shall have to come up with a system in future.... perhaps we should bulk buy and divi out ourselves?

I wonder if the orders placed today will be fulfilled or mysteriously end up in a credit 🙄

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toTiggerMe

Wow. I suppose that's how they fund the discounted price by later increasing to a mad extent. Sorry that some people missed out!

Always beware on Amazon 'order again' stuff that the price second time around might be very different to the original price you paid for the same item.

£18.79 on ebay if you're quick - 6 available

or I'm trying these at the moment, virtually identical to Thorne Basic B and £19.99 for 90 liposomal capsules

yikes, just cancelled my subscription, I’m not paying £40 a tub for Thorne Basic B 😬

I noticed the Better You D3 with K2 spray is down to £5.84 what’s the betting we cause a run on that too.

Hmmm there has to be a way to tactically beat the dynamic pricing. Like a rota for purchasing or a bot programme that buys stock only at low prices and holds stock for us all.

🤨

There are several sources charging considerably less than £40 - for delivery within the UK.

Definitely worth a thorough search.
