The last few days I've noticed that I've automatically gone to pull my top or hair away from my neckline, even on waking, I've always hated high necks, even round necklines can annoy me.
But there was nothing there to pull away - it's not a pain just an irritation or slightly numbish feel.
I have hypothyroidism, diagnosed end of last year, but no lumps, swellngs, or goitre.

Hi - I finally got my increase agreed on Friday. from the paramedic as no doctors available that week. he said they were scratching their heads at my odd results and asked if I had been perhaps not taking my medication ... Well, I put him straight, it's all logged, kept in blister pack away from heat or light and taken regularly each morning, nothing else for 1-2 hours etc.
They did tell me that they did not want to increase last August as they thought my TSH may continue to decrease .. and it's very odd that it's gone up on several occasions, but they had no idea why.
So, they scratched their heads more, increased to 125mcg and put me in for FBC and TFT for next 2-3 months test. My FBC was fine last year except slightly reduced kidney and higher cholesterol which I expect won't mean much until my thyroid is stable, so I don't expect it will reveal anything dramatic.
I did start taking some 25mcg Wockhardt I had left from last prescription, so had 3 of them now as I know there is another prescription on the way, but I've had them before without this and they have very little in them filler wise, and I think it started before Friday.
Ii haven't changed my vits over past 3 months either or diet dramatically and don't put any face creams etc on my neck currently.
I guess my T3 seems to be very down now but not yet below range, so they aren't interested in that of course.
If you have an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), treatment may be delayed until this problem is treated. This is because having an underactive thyroid can lead to an increased cholesterol level, and treating hypothyroidism may cause your cholesterol level to decrease, without the need for statins. Statins are also more likely to cause muscle damage in people with an underactive thyroid.
Yes you're right he didn't really see the relevance, I'm hoping he at least googled it after the call and didn't just dismiss the info, perhaps he can bring the GPs up to speed.
At my current weight the guidelines indicate around 130mcg. The GP has an even higher weight logged from a couple of years ago that I haven't quite achieved yet although making good progress, because the nurse had problems converting between scales, so that would be nearer 140mcg , I just left it to see if anything happened or they ever contacted me about it Nothing.
This might just be another odd symptom, I guess, just an irritating one. I'm happy to get more blood tests at same time as my next TFT as it may reserve my fingers for my own FT3 test, but I think they are just doing it to say they have a next step, as they are lost.
