New Levo Liquid Brand?

This is partly for helvella but also for others looking for liquid Levo at the moment when it's been scarce.

By a mishap I ended up with a repeat prescription a bit early for my liquid Levo, so I bravely phoned the independent pharmacy and they actually had a bottle on their shelf (extra gold stars). So I rushed down there and picked it up with the balance remaining, but it's a type not mentioned on the T UK website. Can't see your list Helvella as the dropbox link wasn't working. It's by BrillPharma. Maybe it's been rebranded but they do seem to specialise in liquids. Thought people aught to know it's at least possibly available at the moment.

Jaydee1507,

Thanks!

It is in my document and, when I tried, the link below worked!

However, my document does need updating - as it still says that no-one has received it yet!

I'll do that later or tomorrow.

helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines

I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world. It is sectioned by UK - rest of the world, and by T4, T3, desiccated thyroid, etc.

From Dropbox:

dropbox.com/s/wfhrlmb5983co...

From Google Drive:

drive.google.com/file/d/11z...

Ah you do have it on your list. 😀 It's not on the Thyroid UK website but that may not get updated that often. Your document states its never been distributed in the UK.

Yes - that is what I need to update!

Your document is amazing but navigating it accompanied by brain fog is challenging. 😛 I thought you'd be interested anyway as I've not had this brand before. This pharmacist is incredible tbh. Having that on the shelf is nothing short of a miracle atm. 😍

I *am* interested! :-)

I really, really need people to tell me when things are wrong, not covered, etc.

I recently posted about how to navigate the document:

Viewing Long PDFs - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Viewing Long PDFs - macOS Preview

Did you notice the footer (see below) which lets you click on the section you want to jump to?

Ah I'm afraid the navigation bar and also the explanatory post somehow passed me by. I just searched the document using 'command+f' (on a Mac). I'll read the post now as it might come in useful another time.

Funnily enough my GP had written on the prescription "Teva brand only" as I was going to try and streamline my supply of Levo. I was concerned he wouldn't dispense anything else but wasn't an issue in the end. He just said I'd get what I was given and have to be grateful and we both had good laugh. 😆

PS I wonder if this is why it's not been in circulation before. The E219 is an allergen. One to look out for.

That is why E219 is separately listed on the box!

They list excipients with known effect (but I'm not impressed by their consistency!)

The Advanz one also contains E219 - and Helmroxin, and Teva! (I have not checked all of them.)

hels,

I use your Vade Mecum frequently (not kept about my person but book marked).

As said before it really is a huge exemplary piece of work and I love it, but I also run a MAC and can't see the Table Of Contents so have to use the search word facility.

Or scroll up and down which usually entails me becoming distracted by some other wonderfully interesting information that I then spend the next twenty minutes reading and never knew I needed 😁.

Always appreciative but is there a way of getting this Table of Contents and Footer do you know?

I use a Mac! The document was created on a Mac!

Have you looked at:

And have you downloaded the most recent version? 1st October on front page.

🤣🤣🤣

Now I found I. I had previously only used the link but we need to actually download it to see the PDF 🤪. Hope you are of a reliable source 🤣.

Thank you.

I always welcome corrections and new information!

I wish more people would tell me when there is an error or omission.

I remember what happened now. I did previously download it and then that copy suddenly said it had been deleted by the owner. I guess this was when you did a whole new update?

Anyway maybe it would be useful for others to know they have to download it for the Table of Contents facility. I'm not very IT literate and others with brain fog need leading 😊

Brillpharma was licensed on 23rd April 2021.

But when I first added it to my list, it was not available and no-one had mentioned it. I failed to update my document when it was first mentioned here and still need to do that.

Hi, just started using Tirosint liquid solution, here in Los Angeles, CA, USA. Was using glycerin capsules. Can you all find this in England as well?

helvella profile image
helvellaAdministrator in reply togroovylady2017

No - we have several makes of levothyroxine oral solution but they are all liquids in 50 to 100 millilitre bottles.

Tirosint SOL is available, I think, in a few countries in the EU but not the UK.

I have been taking Brill Pharma for around 10 months. My only issue with it is its dose consistency. Hope it works well for you.

Jaydee1507 profile image
Jaydee1507Administrator in reply toBellthyroid

Poor dose consistency doesn't sound too good. I've just started it and got 2 months worth so I'll just have to see how things go, as literally no choice of anything else at the moment!
