i dont get the same response from drinking tea or coffee. My head is so much clearer, im more alert and general feel so much better for few days...??????
Ah right, they contain aspirin which has been used as a medicine for all sorts of things for many decades! Perhaps you have some sort of low level inflammation. How many times a day do you take them?
Yes, my Mum and I struggle with it that way so don't take it. On my first aid course the leader said it is still beneficial to carry it though because despite these problems it would still be the best thing to take if you are having a heart attack.
phenylephrine can give you a boost, a colleague years ago described it as ‘legal speed’ I’ve no idea if that’s true, I’m not too knowledgeable on class A drugs 😆. I doubt long term use is advised. These would give me palpitations and anxiety, like being overmedicated. 🦋💚🦋
This one doesn't contain that ingredient. The cold remedy one does. It does advise not taking levothyroxine with any of these types of products like Beachams cold and flu or Lemsip due to palpitations.
I suspect like most things if you take it just once or twice a week to perk you up it would be ok but probably best not to take it daily. It is so nice when you find something that makes you feel better instead of worse. I can totally understand why you would want to take it regularly but I think you should be careful with it 😊
Have you got any recent blood results Maya_83 ? You may need to alter your med intake. Wouldn't recommend taking the Beechams for any prolonged period. Paracetamol affects your liver and the Guaifenesin shouldn't be taken for extended periods either -drugs.com/guaifenesin.html# . Having said that, guaifenesin has been used to alleviate fibromyalgia symptoms, which are very similar to hypo symptoms so quite possibly this is why you are better - verywellhealth.com/the-guai...
I recently switched to thyroid-s from t3 and thyrovanz. I didn't really feel well with t3 , it was on and off of feeling lousy being on the same dose for several years.
Not doing much better on thyroid-s atm so toping up with beechams 😑
I ve noticed that I m taking more paracetemol these days (not excessive, just more than usual). I find that even if i take it for something like a headache, it helps with other 'low level' symptoms which I haven't even acknowledged to myself until they ve gone. (general aches, itching etc). That in turn helps me sleep, and then feel better over all.
I also find when i take antibiotics i feel ao much better aswell. Like the beechams my head feel lighter, can think straight & have loads more energy.. how bizarre. I wished my thyroid meds made me feel like this.
