yes , because there would be no T4 to make it from .
But stopping All T4 in order to stop production of any Reverse T3 at all , is not a good idea. and it's unnecessary.
There are loads of reasons for having high rT3 , but your very high fT4 level is the most obvious cause , so you should just reduce your levo dose slightly , and then retest .
Don't make any drastic changes to your thyroid hormones like stopping all Levo , just adjust things slowly and methodically .Making sudden extreme changes is very unsettling to the body and will usually just make you unwell.
Also , make sure you have understood the proper facts about Reverse T3 ,as there is a lot of out of date stuff still on the internet and it's very common to see stuff presenting incorrect idea's about rT3 blocking T3 receptors .
rT3 doesn't do this , it doesn't stop T3 working ...it's basically just a harmless safety valve for if you have a bit too much T4.
it's quite complicated how this is all regulated , but rT3 is not 'bad' in itself , so don't get too hung up about your high rT3 level. .. it's not doing you any harm .. it's just doing it's job because your fT4 level is a bit too high .
I did ask you in your previous post when that test was done and if it was a Blue Horizon test but you haven't replied.
I can see it shows ECK ULTRAVIT RT3. Blue Horizon used to do a test called Thyroid Check Ultravit RT3 but this was discontinued years ago and was replaced with Thyroid Premium Platinum.
If this is, in fact, the old Ultravit RT3 test then it must be years old and the results will be irrelevant now.
Perhaps you can clarify because if members are going to comment based on those results you may be getting completely wrong information.
