FT3 =3.4, Range 2-4.4

FT4=1.71, Range .82-1.77

TSH=.276, Range .450-4.5

I believe this is on 150 mcg of levo...Could this test indicate central hypothyroidism or poor conversion? I've also been on as high as 300 mcg and feel better but lab results show over range. I dont feel any hyperthyroidism symptoms though when I'm on this dose. Shouldnt I start feeling palpitations and other hyper symptoms from being on too high of a dose?Dont know if I should trust these tests...

Don't understand this - presumably your results so you would know what dose you're on, or am I missing something?

.Could this test indicate central hypothyroidism or poor conversion?

Can't indicate central hypothyroidism, you'd have to look at results before going onto Levothyroxine.

FT3 =3.4, Range 2-4.4 = 58.33% through range

FT4=1.71, Range .82-1.77 = 93.65% through range

Conversion could be a bit better. Poor nutrient levels affect conversion. What are your results for Vit D, B12, Folate and Ferritin? They need to be optimal for good conversion.

I've also been on as high as 300 mcg and feel better but lab results show over range.

What were results/ranges on this dose, TSH, FT4 and FT3.

Dont know if I should trust these tests...

Do you always do tests as we advise:

* No later than 9am

* Water only before test

* Last dose of Levo 24 hours before test

* No biotin, B Complex or any supplement containing biotin for 3-7 days before test.

It's an old test so I cant remember which dose I was on exactly... My Vitamin D was low, I've recently restored it. Results for 300 mcg were T3=5.7, Range 2-4.4...T4=2. 39, Range .82-1.77...TSH=<.005, Range .450-4.500...Shouldnt I feel hyperthyroid symptoms with these results? Didn't feel anything negative. Thanks for your comments

Shouldnt I feel hyperthyroid symptoms with these results?

One might think so but I've had an FT4 result of 28.59 (12.0-22.0) so 165.90% of range (no FT3 tested at the time) and I didn't have symptoms of overmedication. I've come to the conclusion don't assume anything with hypothyroidism.

When was your last dose of Levo before this new test?

Your FT3 is very over range at 5.7 (2-4.4) and this is the result that tells us if we are overmedicated. So I would say that you are and that despite having no symptoms I would reduce your dose at least get FT3 back into range.

My Vitamin D was low, I've recently restored it.

So now you need to take the correct dose to maintain your level. What was your original result, what dose D3 were you taking and what is your level now? Are you continuing to supplement, if so at what dose? Also, are you taking D3's important cofactors Vit K2-MK7 and magnesium?

What about B12, Folate and Ferritin?

Not what you're looking for?
