I wonder if you may feel more comfortable by trying Block and Replace :
This is another treatment option whereby the AT drug continues to fully block your thyroid hormone production but you also take a measured dose of T4 - Levothyroxine so your T3 and T4 do not fall too far through the ranges and make you more unwell.
Your T4 was under the range in both June and July and will continue to keep falling :
Do you feel any better having had this course of B12 injections - what happens next - supplements - ?
Can your doctor put any pressure on endocrinology for an urgent appointment as you have been bumped twice haven't you ?
Hi PennyAnnie Thanks for ur response. Spoke with GP today who is saying to increase my PTU to 150mg. 100am & 50pm then see bloods in 5 weeks time. GP advises if symptoms get bad to see her sooner rather than later. Feels like I’m going hypo again as heart rate back down into 50s.
GP has tried several times to get Endo to see me since Feb as urgent but no luck until End of November. GP emails Endo then advises what GP needs to do.
I’ve never had a scan of my thyroid maybe when I see the Endo they may look at it!!!
I believe that by the time I see the Endo that the plan will be to go down the block and replace route as they don’t seem to be able to stabilise me.
Had a course of 6 B12 jabs over two Wk period and they won’t test me again now for 6 months so End if November. Told GP that it could be a false negative as is the case for lots of people with my condition and her response was “I knew you would say that” haven’t seen her again.
I’m not taking any supplements as I want to see what happens to try and prove a point to them that I could well need 3 monthly injections. If I start to feel totally crap again will push for testing earlier. They did give me a bit of energy which is nice but been going on so long not sure what being normal is anymore. I will stay optimistic that I will get there eventually.
Thanks as always for sharing ur knowledge and understanding it is very much appreciated 🙏😊
