I've taken the question you asked on the other thread and answered below.
Cerascreen. co.uk have a tub of Vitabay Vit D3 and K2 powder-365 servings , taken every 5 days. Don't know if K2 is K2-mk-7 or is "all trans" or not?
All of Vitabay's other products with K2 are definitey K2-MK7 and the "all-trans" version so I would say that it's very likely this supplement contains this as well.
Whether it's a good deal depends on how much one would use.
They say 365 servings and that each serving gives 5,000iu D3 and 200mcg K2 then they say to take one dose every 5 days which averages 1,000iu per day.
1,000iu per day is just about a maintenance dose for someone with a decent level already. Some of us need a lot more, personally I need 5,000iu 6 days a week to maintain my level. I personally wouldn't use it, I prefer what I already use and have no desire to change.
Your post is still there so if anyone is interested then all the information about discounts will be seen.
As for your D3 level of 82nmol/L, are you supplementing at the moment? The Vit D Council, Vit D Society and Grassroots Health all recommend a level of 100-150nmol/L with a recent blog post on Grassroots Health mentioning a study which recommends at least 125nmol/L.
With summer now upon us some people can make Vit D naturally from the sun so may not need to supplement at this time of year, some of us need to continue supplementing all year round. When supplementing we should test twice a year to check levels, end of March/beginning of April to see if we need to adjust dose for the summer, then around end October/beginning November to see if you need to increase dose during the winter.
25mcg (1,000iu) is really only a maintenance dose. If you want to improve your level then you'd probably need to take more. If you check out the Vit D Council's suggestions then you're looking at 2,500iu per day.
82nmol/L = 32.8ng/ml, check the tables and you'll see that to reach the recommended level of 50ng/ml (125nmol/L) then that's the amount they suggest:
You know about taking K2-MK7 but do you also take D3's other important cofactor magnesium - this helps the body convert D3 into it's usable form.
As for your calcium level, it's within range and it could possibly rise a bit if you take more D3. Last time my calcium levels were checked they were deemed to be fine, calcium was 2.3 (2.2-2.7) and adjusted calcium was 2.39 (2.2-2.6) but I have to say I'm no expert on calcium.
