is my ft3 maybe the problem that is causing me to not loose weight at all?
Unfortunately we can't say because you haven't included the reference ranges for your results and we don't know where in it's range your FT3 falls. From most FT3 ranges we see here, eg 3.5-6.5 or 3.1-6.8 - then your FT3 result isn't particularly low, but it has to be looked at alongside the FT4 result as well to see how well (or not) you are converting T4 to T3. So if you can add the reference ranges for all your results we should be able to comment further.
Going by the average hormone content of NDT being 38mcg T4 and 9mcg T3 per 1 grain then you are getting from your NDT 66.5mcg T4 and 15.75mcg T3.
Add your 25mcg Euthyrox and you're getting a total of 91.5mcg T4 and 15.75mcg T3.
When we take combination hormone replacement like this, it's very individual where we need our FT4 and FT3. Some are fine with low FT4 as long as FT3 is in the upper part of it's range. Some of us need both FT4 and FT3 over half way through range.
It might be worth you trying a higher FT4 level and see how you feel. Taking more Euthyrox will increase your FT4 and will also increase your FT3 level depending on how much natural conversion you have. So maybe add an extra 25mcg Euthyrox, see what that does to your levels and how you feel.
Also continue working on raising your ferritin level as that is important for your thyroid hormone to work properly.
I don’t really want to argue with you but your response to her previous reply was “where does FT3 3.9 in your reply come from”. I’m just pointing out that she said “I have had on levo only tsh 1, FT4 22 and FT3 3.9. Always very low”That’s where it came from.
I understood you must have had several labs on levo mono when you said " average"!Raising your FT3 should raise your metabolism and help with weight reduction
If these were my results, I would increase Euthrox to 50 mcg in the hope that a rise in FT4 would help with symptoms. That would also probably raise your FT3 a little. Retest in 6/8 weeks.
