Lord Philip Hunt has secured a slot at the Open Questions session in House of Lords tomorrow - Preventing Clinical Commissioning Groups denying thyroid patients access to the drug Liothyronine (T3) for the treatment of hypothyroidism.
This will raise the issue of access to liothyronine (T3) as the prescribing of liothyronine continues to be a postcode lottery and this must change.
Lyn Mynott will be attending after a meeting with Lord Hunt.
The session starts at 3pm and you can watch it here:
do hope that the current political shenanigans won't be a distraction from the very important topic of the post code lottery for liothyronine prescriptions.
Thank you Lyn. It's been suggested on this forum in the past, and again recently, that I need T3 as I'm a poor converter. The reason that holds me back from better health?
The fear of:
a) not being able to reliably source it
b) not being able to continue once started, thus risking making my health even worse.
Just follow the link in Lyn's original post. The video stream has a time bar along the bottom. I have not yet listened/watched it but I think it starts around 15:06. Use your mouse to slide the bar or click on the little "circles" to jump 10 second, 1 or 5 minutes - forwards or back.
