Advice on suppressed TSH

Hi, hoping someone can share some advice or experience.

I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, I was due to go through IVF treatment last year as I have been unable to conceive naturally and a full blood count flagged my thyroid issues.

I have been on levothyroxine since October 2021. My dose was increased from 50mg to 100mcg in November 2021.

I have been told my TSH has been suppressed throughout all my blood tests since October. I had a MRI pituitary which came back normal.

My most recent labs are below :

Free T3 - 4pmol/L

Range 2.4 - 6pmol/L

Free T4 - 15.2pmol/L

Range 9 - 23pmol/L

TSH - 0.11mU/L

Range 0.3 - 4.2mU/L

I have today been told by my consultant that he is happy with my levels and he can not see a reason why my TSH is still suppressed and to go ahead with IVF.

I’m unsure why he was unable to find out why my TSH is suppressed and wether going ahead with treatment at this stage is a good idea. As I previously had a failed IVF cycle which I believe was due to my thyroid not being checked.

Any advice welcome, thank you in advance.

As you have Hashimoto’s you should have had coeliac blood test done at diagnosis….has that happened

If not, get tested before considering trial on strictly gluten free diet

Approx 5% of Hashimoto’s patients are diagnosed as coeliac, but approx a further 80% find strictly gluten free diet helps or is essential

it’s EXTREMELY important to actually test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels …..especially TTC
