What are your most recent thyroid and vitamin results, are you on gluten free diet
I now have permanent under active thyroid due to radioiodine treatment. I have mild itching all over my body though I’m not sure if it’s just the thyroid responsible
I am SO itchy especially my scalp, hair falling out like crazy, hairdresser mentioned back in 2006 that he had not seen any new hair growth on my scalp, just the length grew. I have had a spot on my back that is one of the worst places, but I am sure I have made many people uncomfortable because I can't stop scratching my scalp. I have tried all different kinds of shampoo, expensive all natural, no Sulphur, no this and no that, nothing helps and all I know is it is getting worse and worse. Since moving to France 5 years ago the docs here have done nothing but lower my thyroid meds and of course I had to give up NDT as they do not sell it here - I take Euthyral which is a synthetic T4/T3 combo but they never like my numbers after blood tests. Plus I have a pituitary tumor which makes my tsh test come out at .001 which really throws them into a frenzy. But years ago I read that people with hypo and Hashi's often have itchy spots in certain places - no idea why though,.
