It seems all the good things are triggers...Alcohol.. spicy food..great coffee...and I am now going to try' fragrance free ' everything, washing powder etc. and make-up. My doctor prescribes 'cetraben' emollient cream, I use it all over especially neck and chest...seems to help.

Hello Iola..

Regarding an itchy neck...do you have Hashimotos and are you on Adrenavive ?

Hi I have problems with the itching. Doctor put me on 120 mg of Fexofenadine and this will stop it, or any anthisthamine tablets from over the counter will do. These tablets stop any rash or itching which could be side effect from other meds.

Hi all

I too have had these symptoms on several occcasions over the years including on my hands (I get dermatitis too). BWith me it seems to be worse & happen at the end of a flare of all my symptoms fibromyalgia included.

I recently had a bad infection on my hands & at the same time severe itching & rash on my chest neck & upper torso. I have not used any perfumed soap/shower bath gel for years & always use fragrance free make up. I use gloves when washing up or using any soap products etc., My doctor prescribed an antibiotic for the infection for my hands & also Oilatum Shower gel for washing/showering & an emollient cream called Diprobase to use all over when needed. The relief from the severe itching was almost instant & I'm going to keep a good supply of these from now on!! You might find the same helps - incidentally you can buy the Oilatum products from chemists but they are expensive so get them on prescription if you can !!
