My dd24 got a tsh of 0.01, as she's on liothyronine. GP's response was to take her off liothyronine. Does anyone have a reference or a link to any 'professional' article explaining to this stupid man how taking t3 will always give you a tsh of 0 as you no longer need thyroid stimulating hormone as you no longer need to convert. So frustrating that he won't take our advice!

Presumably she was originally prescribed T3 via endocrinologist
GP shouldn’t meddle.
Yes she was, but all the girls in our family have a weird genetic condition where we slip from hyper to hypo, at some stage, a bit like hashimotos; but when we do slip we also lose the ability to convert t4 to t3 and have to supplement with both; dd has moved to Canada and the Canadians can't get the hang of it at all! Her ranges are high, but her symptoms are hypo ones!
