I am going to Turkey next week hoping to be able to buy Tiromel for the first time - can anyone offer any advice?

It seems that some people manage to buy it over the counter but not everyone. Do you have a box that you can take with you to show them what you want.
We are allowed to bring back medicines for personal use but keep it to a reasonable amount just in case your suitcase is checked by customs, if you've got a high number of boxes it could arouse suspicion of you being a supplier!
Perhaps you can let us know if you manage to buy some, it may help others who are thinking of trying to buy some if they go there.
Do you have a box that you can take with you to show them what you want.
If you don't you can just print out a picture of the box from the internet. Just search for Tiromel. The most recent box design is the one with a lot of dark brown, not the one with a yellow stripe.
Thank you human bean and SeasideSusie - yes - I will print out a picture and take it with me and I promise to report back on my experience. As far as I know there is a rep at the hotel which may prove helpful. I am going to the Antayla region. I have been taking Thyroid-S for a number of years, and I am currently taking old stock - it is all so ridiculously expensive to get hold of NDT from anywhere these days - many thanks again for your help!!

Just thought I’d mention that my son bought me some levo in Dubai. Over the counter. £4 for 100 x 50mcg. Considerable saving to online overseas chemist. Brought 4 boxes through without a problem. For whoever that helps 😊 Liothyronine also available over the counter.
Just try and get one or two packets from each pharmacy. My experience in Greece was to take the information sheet out of the first pack or the blister pack with some tablets missing with you (or both). Good luck. I have a friend in Greece who posted me about a year's supply after I got home. Some pharmacies will let you buy, others will pretend they don't have a clue what you are talking about in my experience. Turkey may be different to Greece.

Is that since Brexit? Only one of our members has said that since Brexit it's not possible to send from Greece. No personal experience, just what's been said on the forum.
It was last October 2021.
A friend bought 10 boxes of 100 25mcg tablets for me at the same pharmacy in Turkey, can you believe the price for each box equated to £2.25! He had no problem bringing them through customs. Were I to buy the same here on a private prescription, one box would be in the region of £200

If Thybon Henning is stipulated on the prescription then we know of 3 pharmacies listed on ThyroidUK's website who sell at £50-£60 per 100 tablets.
It was about 2 euros a box in Greece.
A family member got me some in Turkey last year. I think they were about 3euro a box.
