Hi lovely HU, people, I wonder if anyone can answer the question of whether it is safe for hypothyroid sufferers to take fish oil that contains d-alpha Tocopherol, Soya Bean Oil?

TIA x

It's always been mentioned here to avoid soy in all it's forms. To be on the safe side it might be better to find a supplement that contains a different type of oil rather than soya bean oil (which is what I would do).

Thanks SS, I asked because although I had cancelled subscriptions when I saw it contained soy, internet shopping site still sent it & took my £. 2 - 3 large bottles What a waste!

I’d contact them and ask for a return and full refund. As a customer you are entitled to do so, especially as you notified them that you wished to cancel your subscription. Most companies, provided they are reputable, will be happy to do this as long as you haven’t opened the bottles.

I have no choice but to cease trading with them...

Offer the bottles to friends who have healthy thyroids but may need some Omega. I saw this and thought of you sort of thing... maybe not if they look slightly like a fish! :)

Thank yoou serenfach. What friends are still alive are not interested. I would happily sent them to UK residents though. Interested?
