Gluten and Hashimotos

I gave up gluten 7 months ago and most of the time wonder if it is helping my thyroid, or having no affect at all! But twice now I could possibly link having a small bit of gluten to 10 days later feeling very hypo, symptoms being very low mood, flat, apathy and more constipated. The first occasion I had eaten a wrap containing wheat and the second, a few months later I had some fish in breadcrumbs and a piece of keylimepie. Is this just a coincidence or have others been able to link falling off the gluten free wagon to definitely having hypo symptoms? Both time the symptoms lasted for about a week.
