Endo says my male friend is hypothyroid and prescribed 25mcgs Levothyroxine with a review in two months. I posted his blood results recently. If I remember correctly GG said 25 mcgs would be too low. Can he increase the dose after a few weeks or must he wait to do so after the next appointment?
What can he do to feel better sooner? I read that it takes one month to feel any difference after taking Levothyroxine, if any.
Additionally, I would like to convey my deepest thanks and profound gratitude to all who advised us.

Arkenstone, Can you add your friend's test results at diagnosis to this post please, so that members don't have to try to find them from your previous posts.
As he is over 60 standard starter dose Levothyroxine is 25mcg
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in Levothyroxine
Always test thyroid levels as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose Levothyroxine 24 hours before test
Presumably he has now reduced dose vitamin D as was taking 10,000iu daily vitamin D result was high …..perhaps reduce to 3000-4000iu daily and retest in 3-4 months
