Hi, I had my bloods done last week and I would appreciate someone to advice me. I had been suffering from a puffy face and eyes for a couple of weeks. I had gained quite a bit of weight, so I spoke to my GP and she did my bloods. I haven’t spoken to her yet because she will be working tomorrow. However, I called the surgery and requested a copy of my result so that I could share with you before I speak to her tomorrow. I can see my TSH level is 0.01 and last time it was low and she had suggested lowering the dose from 125 to 100. I only take Levothyroxine. However, I wasn’t feeling good and I continued with 125. I have a feeling she will push me to reduce and say the puffy face and eyes is due to overdose. I am so confused why have I been getting a puffy face or putting on weight. I mean my eyes were so puffy, you could barely see them. I had to send her photos of myself for her to believe me.
Any advice would be really really appreciated.
Sorry I had three pages, but its only letting me add one photo. I have added the other page in comment I think🧐

Levothyroxine can not work unless vitamins are optimal
Come back with new post once you get vitamin results and ranges
Are you experiencing another symptoms beside puffy eyes & weight gain? Is the weight round your abdomen? Do you bruise easily, struggle to sleep? Your weight gain could be due to your thyroid or it could be another hormone issues such as PCOS or Cushing's syndrome.
The weight is mainly around abdomen, I don’t struggle to sleep. I actually feel so tired that half the time I am asleep on the sofa. The doctor last year referred me for scans and did my bloods rule out PCO’s because I was having pain in my lower abdomen. I’m not sure about cushing’s syndrome.
It might be worth asking your GP to do an early morning cortisol test done between 8-9am, 24 hour urine test & maybe the Dexamethasone suppression test.
Can someone please advise if my bloods look okay. Thank you.
How long have you taken selenium? I had a problem with a swollen eye and skin around eye when taking selenium and it went when I stopped, I have heard it can cause this type of thing if you are over range. Don’t know if you had range checked but just an idea incase it helps xx
Thank you for your reply. I hadn’t thought about that. I take 200mg selenium everyday. I might just leave it for a few days and see where the puffiness reduces. Thank you xx
