We often lapse into discussions about the general approaches and ideas of doctors.
I just fell across this radio program - the link is to the first episode of the series - which has a certain amount of sharp language and satire about doctors and medicine.
Intended for interest, entertainment and some wry amusement.
Brian Gulliver, a seasoned presenter of travel documentaries, finds himself in a hospital's secure unit after claiming to have experienced a succession of bizarre adventures.
His begins with the tale of his travels in Gelbetia - a country run by doctors.
Glad to see you're using your convalescence appropriately . We don't want to see anything that look likes remotely like hard work from you for at least a fortnight .
Hope u recover well and quickly.... i've never had shingles, but i gather it's not funny.
I WAS able to hear the Gelbetia story, and I am in the U.S. Thank you for the link! I am afraid that is the way things are headed in the U.S., with labels for every condition. We are not quite as far along as death planning yet however.
Get well soon helvella - hubby had shingles last year so feel for you. 💕
The less I see doctors the better I feel- I’m never sure if that’s because I have nothing to treat, or because the act of seeing a doctor can seriously damage my health- last decades worth of experiences would suggest the latter!
