Up to Date Research on Vitamin D

A riveting discussion between three scientists, two of whom have been working on latest research into vitamin D. Explains how important it is for everyone, especially at the moment, but particularly for those with darker skin, living in Northern hemisphere:

Slightly baffled by your reply MB in the light of vitamin D being so vital to immune response.......

I was prompted to post here after reading a reply on the PA forum, as well as an article in the news yesterday, about a couple from Venezuela with four children, who tragically had both died.

This is up to date information from two highly qualified scientists/researchers, Dr Linda Benstem and Gareth (Gruff) Davies, PhD, very clearly interpreted by another scientist/professor, Bret Weinstein, for everyone to disseminate in order to save lives.

A huge percentage of those admitted to hospital around the world were discovered to have very low vitamin D and successfully treated with very high doses.

Ten UK doctors on the Wall of Heroes, who died last year, had darker skins.

Polaris, I haven't watched the video yet, but hope to later when time allows.

Something I'd like to point out, is that there are actually people, myself included, who are unable to take even low doses of vitamin D supplements, let alone the massively high doses that get talked about so much these days.

No-one seems to want to acknowledge this fact. Granted, we are possibly a very small minority, but that should not mean we get totally ignored and discounted. I really wish this fact would be properly acknowledged and that someone would do some proper research to find out why people like myself are intolerant of vitamin D supplements.

Well said RedApple, it's assumed that VitD is safe for everyone but as you and I both know it isn't.

I'm truly sorry RedApple and bantam12 , that there are some who cannot absorb vitamin D supplementation 🙁

The film does explain the best time of the day and year to get a large dose (e.g. around 10,000 iu), naturally from the sun so that the body can store it in fat and muscle for when needed throughout the winter months. Also that a smaller amount is available from some foods.

Thanks for posting the video which I speed-listened. Im more interested in technical videos & reports on vitamin D for covid, and less interested in pointing the finger at failing Governments, Big Pharma etc on which the video dwells. But there's some technical content.

As Ive previously indicated on here and other fora many times in the past 2yrs, I fail to fully understand why the overwhelming evidence of appropriate vitamin D serum levels for protection against covid is effectively ignored as an option to vaccination by Governments - and consequently not seriously considered by followers. I think I know why Govts ignore it.

I fully accept adoption is difficult for a minority - but so is immunisation by vaccination. Just yesterday, someone posted on HU/kidney disease that she was "virtually unvaccinated" due to immunosuppressant drugs despite 3 jabs, for example. Omicron alongside fairly rapid vaccine waning has further highlighted why other options are still required today (and obviously during the 1st 9 months of covid when there was no vax).

Thanks to everyone who viewed and responded.

I appreciate this is a rather long video, not for everyone, and would seem to have aroused many emotions in some, although maybe without actually viewing, or at least in its entirety? 🤔. (I believe Bret Weinstein has since made a shorter version if that helps).

It was posted in good faith, with better health/protection in mind, for the benefit of anyone who also believes a strong immune system is particularly essential in these times.

I'm a reader, not a scientist, and much appreciate all the work these, obviously, sincere and highly qualified researchers have put in to inform, as well as overcoming disturbing difficulties in getting their work published, which they don't dwell on or exaggerate. I don't remember BPharma mentioned at all🤔 But it is as it is - the risks that come with politicised health issues, maybe?

The research finally proves, (and backs the statement sent to governments by 220 top scientists from around the world), that this latest research on pro hormone (vitamin) D is especially important to building a healthy immune system in young, old, all races, vaccinated or unvaccinated, so why IS this information being discouraged from being discussed or dispersed ?

PS Sorry, like many others with PA and Hashi's, it's difficult to find the right words at times, so please forgive if this offends - it isn't meant to......

Happy and healthy new year to you all.

PS. I've just found another article I'd saved, written by two retired doctors, Drs David C. Anderson and David S. Grimes, who can now speak freely. They also stress how good levels of D are important to prevent ALL viruses.

It is frankly criminal that NHS has virtually stopped testing and treating low vitamin D (especially as older people and those with darker skin. are more vulnerable).

Mmm....Strangely, after trying several times, I can no longer copy the full link !!!? Perhaps google?
