Had tests done today and they just got back now. I wrote here yesterday about Dr wants TSH back in range. healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
Results from today on 50t4 +5t3 is as follows
TSH 0.45 (0.40-3.7)
Ft4 10 (12-22)
Ft3 3.1 (3.6-6.3)
I guess Dr will be pleased with TSH but I don't care about him anymore I have to take my health into my own hands so am increasing my meds. What to start with or can I increase t3 by 5 and t4 by 25 at once since I know that will be the least I need to get levels up? Or will my levels increase after a while since it was only 3weeks since dose reduction? I mean that maybe my TSH will rise and therefore make my thyroid produce enought t4 and t3. Is that possible?
Thank you for all your kind help so far. How can drs be so stupid and make people so sick by only looking at TSH? Gah!

If your GP says he is happy with your results now that TSH is back in range, please do ask him what his thoughts on your below range FT4 and FT3 are, if he says he's fine with them at that level ask why considering they are the thyroid hormones. Do let us know what he says.
I think I'd start with an increase in your Levo, 25mcg now and see where that takes you in 6 weeks. I think you shouldn't rush your increases, just do them at the normal rate.
To feel well most of us Hypos need FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of their reference ranges. You are so, so far away from that that increasing your Levo is inevitable.
Would it be a bad idea to increase t3 by 5mcg for a week before increasing t4 by 25mcg since the pill is really hard to cut in 4 and I will probably need at least 10mcg.
Unfortunately this is what many of us are up against. I don't understand it, the only explanation must be total ignorance of how it all works and this is why so many of us just resort to self medicating and looking after ourselves.
I’m no doctor, but I honestly don’t think so. Your FT3 and FT4 are both under range right now. Any improvement as a result of a somewhat higher TSH, I’d have thought would be marginal. Which means you’d most likely still feel awful.
