Does your GP know that you take T3?
When taking T3 it's essential to test FT3, it's always the most important test.
When taking T3 TSH is always going to be very low or suppressed, that's just what it does.
FT4 can be wherever it needs to be for you to feel well. On combination hormone replacement some people are fine with low FT4 as long as FT3 is in the upper part of it's range, some need FT4 higher in range. It's something we have to work out ourselves by trial and error.
If your Levo is lowered, your FT4 will be even lower that it's current 14.4 (12-22) which is only 24% through range. It will also possibly reduce your FT3 depending on what natural conversion of T4 ot T3 that you do have.
If I were you I'd refuse to reduce Levo, I'd insist on FT3 being tested along with TSH and FT4, and if your GP can't get that done then do it yourself. It's absolutely essential that you test FT3 because that is your guide to whether or not you are overmedicated.
I can't see a cholesterol result.
Well, obviously your TSH is suppressed! You don't need a doctor to tell you that. You just have to look at your blood test result. lol
But, your FT4 is very low. Reduce your levo and it will go even lower, but won't have any effect on the TSH. A lower FT4 might suit you and it might not. How do you feel on your present dose? If you feel well, I wouldn't change my dose of levo, if I were you. You're taking 25 mcg T3 so of course your TSH is going to be suppressed. That's what T3 does, it suppresses TSH because you don't need it anymore. Is your doctor prescribing the T3? If so, he ought to know the effect it has on TSH.
However, I cannot see any results for cholesterol, so cannot tell you if it's too high. But, if it is high, it probably means that your FT3 is too low. Unfortunately, that wasn't tested. And, that is the most important number - especially if you're taking T3. You are only over-medicated if your FT3 is well over-range and you feel hyper. It has nothing to do with the TSH.
You need vitamin D, folate and B12 tested too if not been tested yet
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
On day before blood test, split T3 into 3 smaller doses, at roughly equal 8 hour intervals, taking last 1/3rd of daily dose approx 8-12 hours before test
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
