Hi Slowdragon, had everything tested with blue horizon in May and all vit levels were brilliant. Yesterday’s test followed all guidelines. Not sure what to do. Maybe stop Levo for a few weeks
Yes resting HR had gone up, but i’d been on holiday and drinking alcohol for seven days, so assumed that was why. HR has dropped this week . I’ve felt great for the last few weeks too! No doubt doc will tell me i’ve got an overactive thyroid! If they don’t retest including T3, i’ll do my own. Thanks for response and advice Slowdragon. Much appreciated, especially while i’m in mega panic mode !
Hi slowdragon, i’ve never gone entirely gluten free , so not that. When i get to speak to a doctor i will request a retest to include t3. They don’t know i take t3, although it was a previous gp who suggested i do it as NHS wouldn’t help me. Basically just been left to get on with it for past two years. Obviously not making a very good job of it!
I'm afraid you can't assume that about antibodies. That level of FT4 does look like a Hashi's 'hyper' swing. And, frankly, there's no other explanation that I can think of.
Hi greygoose, thank you for your feedback. Could i ask your advice please ? Would you carry on with levo as normal, or stop/reduce for a while. I really don’t know what to do for the best.
If you feel over-medicated, stop for a few days. But, do it on your own, don't get your doctor involved. Because, if he reduces the dose on your prescription, you'll probably have trouble getting it put back up again once the excess hormone is used up and you need it again.
I sent a detailed letter to the gp. Explained t4 levels in May and Hashis swings. Unfortunately i have got to have a telephone consultation on Wednesday, but hopefully i can put across a clear case ( with the help of a small dose of Lio which keeps the brain fog at bay). In the meantime i’ll stop levo for a few days. Can’t begin to tell you how much your and slowdragons advice helps to put things into perspective. Thank you .
