Weird rash that is spreading.

I started with a rash on the back of my hands, which has now spread to my arms and legs and now tonight it is on my buttocks and back of legs and parts of it look like bruises. Does anyone know if this is thyroid related as it's not itchy or blistering and I don't feel any worse than I normally do.

Sounds to me like it could be an affect from the vaccine, presuming that you have had it. The same thing has happened to several of my friends.

I doubt it's that had the rash for about 2 years, now and has spread gradually since then but have shown it to the doctor and wasn't the slightest bit concerned.

Hiya, might be best to go to your GP or a pharmacy so they can have a look? As you say it is probably nothing, but best to get peace of mind 😊 Best wishes

Trying to get an appointment, is nearly impossible, but will try.

Sounds like it may be hands mouth and feet Virus. Yes adults can catch it also. I would go to you MD to see what it is.

Good Luck!🥰

Have looked it up and don't have the symptoms ie mouth ulcers etc, so no clue and doctor wasn't concerned when I showed him a few weeks ago, but has spread since then.

can you send GP photos? have you tried taking anti-histamines? it might be worth checking the excipients in the brand of Levothyroxine you're taking. don't be fobbed off by GP! good luck

Thanks but am going to leave it for now, as my husband is going into hospital for operation soon and don't want to do anything that might jeopardise that. Will look at excipients in my Levothyroxine and see if anything in that could be causing it.

Google for 'causes of rashes' and it produces several links which include pictures - at least it did for me.

Have googled rashes and it's not like anything, so no clue. Thanks for reply.

Have you tried changing your washing powder or bath gel? I used the same shampoo for ages and then suddenly would get bumps and scabby bits on my head, forehead and neck that did not itch but was not a good look. A change in shampoo and it all went away.

I have to be careful with shampoo as have seborrhoeic dermatitis, so stick with head and shoulders as it seems to keep me reasonably clear and use ketoconazole if I have a flare up and can't use soap in my genital area,as have contact dermatitis and have to hand wash my knickers because of this, it's a bit of a nightmare at times, but just have to carry on and manage it the best I can, it's all autoimmune related, but once you've got one autoimmune disease, it's highly likely you'll get more.

Whenever members mention skin issues, I think of posting a link to this New Zealand site:

dermnetnz.org/search.html?q...

That link will take you to a search of their site looking for the word "rash". You could have a look through the many photos they have. Unfortunately there are over two thousand of them! You might be refine the search and reduce the number of hits.

Please be careful trying to diagnose by internet photo. Whilst it is possibly better than being ignored, it is very easy to get it wrong.

Thanks for reply, but I have no other symptoms and it's not itchy or blistering but I now have it all over, except my neck and face. Only thing that I've started taking recently is a cbd edible but ordered wrong one and there may be something in that, that's causing it. When I re-order, I'll make sure, it's the same one as before, as didn't have any problems with that. But don't feel ill or should I say, no more ill than usual. I'm slightly worried but I know the doctor will likely fob me off, if I go and show them.
