Hello. I had a my thyroid removed (Stage 4 Cancer) about 7 years ago. No skin issues. Now, I have this rash on my legs and arms. I've seen similar rashes as rare symptom of COVID. Any idea if this could be just an allergy?

ITCHY RASH
Welcome to our forum and am sorry you have had your thyroid gland removed through having thyroid cancer.
I have had a similar rash but I think it could be due to the fillers/binders in the hormone replacement.
You could try taking one anti-histamine tablet one hour before your next dose to see if that's helpful. If it is you might have to ask for another make of levothyroxine.
I find pharmacists are generally quite good at assessing skin rashes so you could get advice there first.
Not being alarmist but Skin rashes are a symptom of Covid 19 in about 10% of cases, so maybe just to discount it and be on the safe side, you could drive to a test centre and get tested.

Teva gives a rash.
I have a very similar rash on my right forearm. It flares up and dies down, but if I scratch it it will open up and the holes are itchy and take ages to heal. I've had it all the time I've been on Levo and HRT. I don't know which it is, but it's one of them. GP said it was dermatitis and gave me Betnovate cream. It made it worse.
