This must have been marked abnormal by your GP. What has he said? Have you discussed it with him?

You can read about ammonia plasma test here:

Go back to your GP and ask. If he tries to fob you off (he/she may not know) and I am sure you will know if this happens, then ask for a Consultant. I get very cross when we are not told what results mean. I remember clearly sitting next to a woman in a clinic, and she was shaking. I started chatting to her, and she was terrified she had cancer, when all it really was was a trapped nerve. I could see the total relief on her face and it has stuck with me that how unthoughtlessly cruel some of the medical profession can be. Hug.
