What are your symptoms

What’s happening about possible H Pylori infection

TSH and Ft4 suggest unlikely

When were folate, ferritin and B12 tested

You also need thyroid antibodies tested to check for autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies

H pylori can be trigger for Hashimoto’s

Am I borderline under active with my thyroid?

Are we to assume you don't have any diagnosis of a thyroid condition and are not on any thyroid meds?

If that is the case then your GP wont say you are borderline.

What has your GP said about these results?

A normal healthy person will have a TSH of no more than 2, often around 1, with FT4 around mid-range-ish. So your TSH fits with that, and your FT4 is 55% through it's range so with your results a doctor will say you are euthyroid (normal).

The Total T3 test isn't useful, it's the Free T3 test that is the one that tells us what we need to know. However, if your Total T3 is low (as it is) there's a good chance that your Free T3 may be as well. But your probably doctor wont take any notice of the T3 test. It's TSH over 10, or TSH over range along with raised thyroid antibodies, or FT4 below range that you need for a diagnosis.

Your Vit D isn't too bad, the Vit D Society and Grassroots Health both recommend a level of 100-150nmol/L with a recent blog post on Grassroots Health recommending at least 125nmol/L so there is room to improve if you wish.

It would be helpful to test B12, folate and ferritin, low levels or deficiencies can cause symptoms that overlap with symptoms of hypothyroidism.

Thanks for replies

I should have mentioned a few years back had antibodies test which showed high antibodies and was diagnosed with Hashimotos … not on medication

I’m going to see a gastroenterologist for h pylori positive results …I believe the treatment is a combination of antibiotics…which I’m dreading
