Thyroid UK is trying to get funding for a telephone helpline run by an outside helpline company whose workers would be trained by Thyroid UK.
In order to do this, we need to show that this is needed by our beneficiaries.

Definitely a good idea especially at the moment when it's impossible to get a face to face gp appointment and blood tests are being cancelled due to a shortage of glass vials.

Well, that's why I've asked the question as going on yesterdays replies we do not know :
I didn't vote yesterday, as it wasn't clear that the phone line would be manned/run by Thyroid UK. Could that post title please be amended?
If it's a TUK phone line, my vote would be a big YES!
If it was an NHS one, my vote may well be NO !
Who would we be talking to and would they be medically trained ?
It says above they wouldn’t be medical professionals but they would be trained by thyroid Uk.
