Problems taking Armour

Has anyone had problems transferring to armour? I have had to start taking armour, 3 grain, after the withdrawal of naturethroid,. I have been on the for about 3 weeks now and have gradually felt worse. Be fore on Trmann and naturethroid I was doing well, I had started swimming 2 or 3 times a week and felt strong for the first time in years but after taking armour this has changed. I now feel weak tired mood fluctuations stomach ache and sleep is all over the place when I can sleep. I dont know what to do? These tablets are so expensive i cannot afford to replace them and anyway there appears not to be anything to change to so I am at loss what to do😳☹ any advice would be appreciated, should I reduce then build back up ? I just dont know I am so disappointed and upset at this backward move.

Many members like Thyroid-S from Thailand; it´s the only Thai brand left. It´s quite expensive nowadays, though, but less so than Armour which I believe is the most expensive brand of NDT. There are many posts here about it if you do a search. Armour was reformulated back in 2009 and many patients complain about it being less potent and more inconsistent ever since.

You could also self-source synthetic T3 and T4 if you don´t have a doctor to prescribe it for you. You can ask for reliable suppliers by private message. Same for suppliers of Thyroid-S.

Like you I was doing well on Nature Thyroid and swimming twice a week but since Covid and not being able to take that I’ve got worse- I’m trying Levothyroxine but not at all straightforward. I definitely felt better on Nature Thyroid.

Its so frustrating isn't it, I feel so let down by my stupid body! But I've looked into getting thyroid s and will just have suck the financial loss on the armour. I just hope they work or naturethroid comes back soon. My gp is not at all helpful so won't go back to levy I couldn't function at all on that. Fingers crossed for return of naturethroid 🤞

Yes I really hope it returns. Thyroid S was ok too but last batches I sourced was weak or maybe be since having Covid. I know what you mean about being let down- we try and stay positive but recently it’s been so hard.

I dont whether to buy them then? I can't afford to waste more money so perhaps I'll give armour a few more weeks then decide, oh this is all so complex and feel abandoned by gp unless I want to go on numbers only which dont always relate to how I feel!! Urrghh well I will keep on keeping on 🙂
