I have been taking Bio-Kult for a while (as recommended on here) but I don’t think they are ideal for my stomach. There are good reviews online for Hey Nutrition Probiotic Complex but as they are not cheap I thought I would ask if anyone recommends them. Or recommends something else. Thanks for reading.

I make and take water Kefir, and am very happy with it. So are the other 8 people who now have it from me. Cheap, easy to make, no hidden ingredients or quality worries, and delicious if you add something to flavour it.
Making Water Kefir
Stage one.
Put 100 grams of raw cane sugar into a half litre Pyrex measuring jug.
Add one eighth of a teaspoon of black molasses.
Add 250ml of boiling (filtered) water, and stir to dissolve the sugar.
Top up to 500ml with cold (filtered) water, and stir again.
Leave to cool until it is around body temperature.
Move the sugar solution to a Kilner jar.
Add 2 level tablespoons of Kefir grains.
Stir, place lid on but do not clamp down.
Put jar in a dark cupboard for 48 hours.
-------------------------------------------------------
Make a sugar solution of two level teaspoons of raw cane sugar dissolved in 250ml of hot water, then add another 250ml of cold water. (Use only filtered water)
-------------------------------------------------------
Stage two.
Pour contents of Kilner jar through a nylon sieve (do not use a metal sieve) into a wide necked jug.
Use the Kefir grains in the sieve to start another batch.
In a 500ml bottle place 50ml of pure apple juice and 50ml of sugar solution.
Add the filtered Kefir leaving a one inch gap from the top of the bottle.
Place stopper in bottle, shake it well, and leave it in a cupboard for another 48 hours.
It is then ready to drink, but be careful opening it.
-------------------------------------------------------
You need to keep repeating this process to keep the Kefir grains alive. If you need a break, you can place the Kefir solution produced in stage one in a sealed Kilner jar, and keep it in the fridge for up to 10 days. When you restart, sieve the solution to retrieve the Kefir grains, then throw the solution away.
Equipment required.
A water filter that will remove chlorine and fluoride etc from the water.
A 1 tablespoon (15ml) measuring spoon.
A teaspoon.
A 500ml Pyrex measuring jug.
A half litre Kilner jar.
A nylon sieve.
A jug wide enough to get the sieve over.
A small plastic funnel.
Some bottles with caged stoppers.

Water Kefir.
Open the bottle very carefully. The Kefir continues to brew, and produces gas, so open with care each time. Do not shake the bottle prior to opening.
For the first three days do not drink more than a shot glass (50 ml) of the Kefir per day. You may get slight side-effects like bloating or excess wind but these should go away once your gut gets used to the bacteria in the Kefir. You can then increase your daily does carefully, noting your reaction to it.
Take the Kefir each day. It will replace good gut bacteria that is being killed by the chemotherapy.
The Kefir will last a long time, but as it continues to ‘brew’ it will absorb more of the sugar and therefore become more bitter. Aim to finish a bottle within 10-14 days.
I use the biomel powder which is more natural stuff than fillers
I use barefootnutrition.co.uk advanced live culture formula
Hi It’s been hard for me to find that I don’t react badly to and I’ve bought expensive ones but had to bin them because of side effects they gave me. Last month I found at last one that works brilliant for me it’s from Holland & Barrett called Travel biotic it has 10 billion friendly bacteria in each capsule along with ginger. I empty one capsule into my yogurt before bed. I really recommend as it’s eased my ibs no end and I also have started to feel better in myself. Price is good at £12 for 60 caps, at the moment it’s buy one get 2nd half price. I hope you find they help you if you decide to try them. Best wishes and good luck! x
I use Renew life probiotics 50 billion, goat kefir and sauerkraut. Another thing I tend to use is digestive enzymes.
