Price of Thybon Henning T3 in Germany?

Does anyone know the price of Thybon Henning T3 when you are in Germany? (not the price when you get it on private prescription from here) Thank you.

Wouldn't you need a German prescription for it, or a prescription from an EU country, when there? I don't think it can be bought over the counter.

This second site shows the same price but it looks like German residents can get it for 5 Euro under their health service (which was set up at the time of Bismark - long before our NHS).

I doubt you'd get a German doctor to prescribe remotely - which I guess is what you mean?

In Germany (or when you live in Germany) you would pay 50 Euros for 100 tabs of 20mcg with a private prescription and 5 Euros only with a prescription from your normal GP. The health insurance system only allows you to get a certain amount every month with a standard prescription; so if you are on T3 only and need more than 20mcg per day, you would need to find a doctor who is willing to write a private prescription from time to time. When we were in the EU we could exploit the cross-border prescription rules. Details available here:

There is no guarantee that a pharmacy in Germany would accept a French prescription from someone who wants the medicine delivered to the UK. (Or any other permutation of countries.) It could look suspicious.

Im thinking more if I took it personally! My brother lives in France so its not beyond the realms of impossibility that I could get a French script. Thanks for the above.

No, a German pharmacy should accept any precription from an EU country, no matter if private or not. I would recommend calling them upfront because T3/Thybon is so rarely used in Germany that most pharamacies do not have it in stock or have heard of it before. But usually it arrives within a couple of hours or a day. Good luck!
