T3 and hot flushes

Josephineinamachine profile image

Hallo all

Just a quick query - I have now increased my T3 to 15 from 5 to 10 over a period of 4 weeks. Endo wants a blood test ASAP but I’m stalling because he wanted me on 15 T3 immediately…thought I’d follow advice on here instead!

3 days now on 15 - very early days I know but I’m aware that I’m having rushes of heat (typical hot flushes like the menopause all over again - gah!).

Just wondering if this is likely to settle down? Is it an early side effect?

On 75 Levo with it.

Thank you 😊

Jiam,

I am sorry no-one has replied, and hope you have received answers in your subsequent posts. My answering will move this onto the 'daily feed' for others to re-view, but you are also welcome to repost.

Hi Radd thank you. Is okay - I reposted with quite an additional range of worries about messing up my T3 trial the other day, and have now had some great advice. I just went too fast with trying to increase my dose. Hot flushes have now subsided. But thank you for responding 😊
