I have never known it available other than on prescription from regular pharmacies.

I suspect you might be meaning that you are trying to get hold of some without a prescription?

The UK branded products are rarely available without prescription.

You can buy privately through a legitimate online pharmacy in the UK, but you will still have to fill in an online questionnaire and a remote DR. will make the decision to give it to you. Good news is you can usually buy extra. I did this when I couldn't get Teva brand even with prescription during the first Lockdown. I was able to buy 3 packets but only brought 2. The cost is not great.

Not all online pharmas have all brands available.

Lloyds pharmacy have allowed me to buy certain meds with the same system, and I've had to go into a branch and be interviewed, but I've never attempted to buy thyroid meds through them so I don't know if they would be useful for you.
