Is anyone taking royal jelly?

Hi,

I just stumbled across a paper that says it might benefit people with autoimmune disorders, though it's nothing much certain, but we all know bee products are healthy in general:

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/173...

So I'm wondering if anyone tried supplementing with that and saw any change.

"Therefore, RJ using the treatment and establishing a remission of Graves' disease may be effective as an antithyroid drug treatment. "Please note the above extract from the article. RJ royal jelly is being used as a thyroid inhibitor for Graves disease and remission.

This would not be advisable for autoimmune hypothyroidism.

I think by that statement, they meant it might normalize the immune function so that it doesn't attack our own tissues, in Graves disease meaning it would stop the antibodies stimulating the thyroid and perhaps, just perhaps, in the hypo case that it would stop the antibodies attacking the thyroid and such normalize the function a bit. That's my opinion on what they tried to say. Was curious if anyone tried.

The effect of RJ is on the thyroid stimulating hormone antibodies TRab which are particular to Graves."the result may suggest that RJ may exert an effect similar to an antithyroid drug for decreasing TSHR Ab levels."

But the Hashi's antibodies DON'T attack the thyroid. So, that wouldn't work.

I took RJ long time ago after giving birth to improve lactation. I didn’t have thyroids problems back then so cannot say anything in that regard but noticed it gave me enormous amount of energy. I didn’t feel tired at all, and that’s with a newborn.
