a LONG drive Clare!!!!! lol

It was ok......she said i was doing well already, especially with the diet but for now i should carry on working with the gut issues- she thinks thats a big problem for me- then to add in a little DHEA and to switch over to T3 to see if that helps. She seems to think possible T3 cell resistance.

Thats it now Clare, no more chasing the dream ( and spending a fortune!) I need to do my own research and work this out....

Switching to T3 sounds like a good idea. Don't really know what dhea does though :D I felt rotten when mine was high though.

And I think it might be a class C drug...

she implied DHEA is the master of all the adrenal 'chemicals'. I was only slightly low so just taking a touch.

Clare what is the idea behind this T4/T3 resistance? Why will taking T3 be a y different from the T3 in Armour? x

I'm not 100% sure re the resistance thing but some people do better on high doses of T3 only ;)

Maybe my dhea was high due to adrenal fatigue then... The bit before it goes low xx

Hi

No I already have the DHEA. I just wondered if there's a special way of taking it for best results? :0)

I take DHEA, I use the US brand Pure Encapsulations. Is easy to get and is a brand that does not have lots of fillers and gunky ingredients.

My research led to taking it preferably by 8am in the morning with food. Cannot remember where I found this info, but I just kept googling and reading until I found something that made sense to me. It was somethng to do with how the body uses it and the adrenals. I also take adrenal support.

I took it and it didn't help me but I think for me the problem was that when my thyroid issues were undertreated, nothing else really helped. I was on all kinds of supplements but didn't feel better until I was on enough thyroid hormone. I'm taking a little break from the supplements, but I may go back on when my thyroid treatment is optimised and see if then I get some results.

see this might be the case with me too! i feel none of these supplements do much for me....if anything at all. Have you reached a satisfactory level of thyroid support then now?

DrM advised me to take 10mg daily for the rest of my life

I take it sublingually in the morning (so advised by Dr M)

When you say sublingually how can you do that with a capsula?

She's also suggested I take T3....

I don't have dhea in capsules, it's in tablets and they are 'specifically' made to take sublingually, it says 'sublingual' on the bottle :)
